Social & Cultural Activities | In 2009, as President of Punjab Youth Congress, started drive against menace of drug addiction among youth of Punjab; In May 2011, after 121 hours of Indefinite Hunger Strike along with 11 activists, the State Government had set up Drug Prevention Board; With the help of this Board and by opening De-Addiction Centres in all Districts, the State Government is trying to control drug abuse and thousands of youth have been benefited; In 2013, organised camps for Differently-Abled Citizens in the Constituency, where 1631 persons were given Wheel-Chairs, Tri-Cycles, Artificial Limbs free of cost |

To know the problems being faced by the Aam Aadmi in the countryside, undertook a 45-day Pad Yatra on 1st November 2010, on the issue of "Jawani te kisani nu Bachaiye, nawan Punjab Banaiya"; Crisscrossing all districts, all 13 Parliamentary constituencies and around 72 assembly segments covered 1500 Kms on foot; Also worked extensively on the issue of female foeticide; Being a grandson of Late Sardar Beant Singh (former Chief Minister of Punjab), feels proud of following his footsteps and taking forward his legacy. |
